Build Your House 2020 Exhibition opens to an excited crowd

Under the Patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, His Excellency Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry, today officially inaugurated the first edition of Build Your House 2020 Exhibition, in the presence of Ministers, Ambassadors, VIPs, dignitaries, industry experts and media representatives.

Following the opening, His Excellency toured the 5,300 sqm of exhibition space at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). Organised by NeXTFairs, Build Your House 2020, will run for three days -from March 2^nd to 4^th. This unique exhibition is expected to attract over 7,000 visitors during its run, as well as attending the workshops and seminars occurring onsite. The exhibition is a first-of-its-kind and specifically targets Qatari nationals who are looking for ideas and tips to build their own house or to renovate their existing house. The exhibition is focussed on assisting Qatari nationals understand the processes and procedures involved in house construction and renovation. It serves as a platform to connect visitors to contractors and consultants to enable them to make informed choices when it comes to building their residence.

The exhibitors at Build Your House 2020

The exhibition will feature over 120 exhibitors and they will showcase the latest products and services in the building and construction industry and will introduce visitors to the latest technologies and materials used in building, architecture, and interior designs. The exhibitors will include companies from the fields of contractors, interior design and decoration as well as consultants and suppliers.

Workshops and Seminars:

The free workshops organised during Build Your House 2020 will offer information on everything from laws and building processes to designs and latest trends. The workshops will be divided on the basis of popular themes inspired from the latest house building trends from around the world. The workshops will be conducted by 30 experts from both the private and public sector. The workshops will prove a great add-on value to the exhibition as industry expert speakers will share their experience and know-how to give you the right advice, inspiration, ideas, and knowledge to complete your next project. Some of the topics which will be covered during the workshops include adapting your home to the local climate, legal aspects for contractual contracts, Islamic finance information, sustainability in your home and landscaping.

Build Your House 2020 Exhibition, will be open from 2-4 March, running from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, and will be free.
