The combined value of Qatar's real estate transactions amounted to QR418.8m during the fourth week of January, 8 percent up compared to the previous week. However, the total number of deals declined to 40 against 57 deals closed in the third week. The increase in the transaction value during January 24-28 was triggered by a mega deal worth QR100m, Ezdan Holding Group's weekly report said.
Among various municipalities, Doha topped both in terms of total number of deals and value. The combined transaction value of Doha municipality stood at QR221.3m or 52.08 percent of the country's total transaction value. Doha Municipality closed 15 deals during the week. Al Rayan and Umm Salal municipalities witnessed the closing of 10 deals each. The ready-to-move segment dominated the transactions. It accounted for over 76 percent of total transactions against 2.9 percent of open lands and plots.
