Mourjan Marinas-Lusail City welcomes students from ISL Qatar

Mourjan Marinas – Lusail City, Doha’s premier yachting destination, recently welcomed students from ISL Qatar (International School of London Qatar) to support the schools’ community service program initiative, which emphasizes on the environment preservation. The students, accompanied by their teachers, were welcomed by the Mourjan Marinas- Lusail City team, which provided an overview of the marina’s rules, regulations and operations, and emphasized on marinas’ environmental consciousness with reference to the floating mangroves project underway at the marina.

The marina team also discussed safety issues related to working near or over water, before distributing personal protective equipment to them, which included life vests, gloves, caps and sunscreen, as well as the tools required to clean up the facilities. The students collected waste from the sea, including plastic bottles, and they used the Quick Response Fire Cart to clean-up the rocks; by that, they were taught how to manage the force of the water during an emergency.
