Traffic Diversion on West Industrial Street for Doha Industrial area

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced that a traffic diversion will be implemented on West Industrial Street from RA no.15 to RA no.02. Two New lanes in each direction will remain open starting the evening of Thursday 26 May 2016 for a period of six months. Access roads to local and residential areas will remain open as per the below map.

This diversion is part of the construction works to upgrade Doha’s Industrial Area, which aims to increase the capacity of roads and support the higher traffic Volumes, in addition to providing the Industrial area with a full integrated infrastructure. Ashghal urges all road users to abide by posted speed limits and traffic signs to ensure their safety.​

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure on Oqba Bin NafieStreet that intersects with Najma Street on Thursday 26th May 2016 to a period of three weeks. During this period, road users travelling on Najma Street can access the local area by taking the next exit onto Ahmad Bin Hanbal Street before the D-Ring and Najma Street Junction, as shown on the below map.

The closure is required to enable construction works for a part of the new signalized junction. Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.​

Temporary Closure on Part of the Wholesale Market Street from Mesaimeer Passport and Immigration Office to the Entrance of Al Jazeera Academy

The Public Works Authority announces that it will put in place a temporary closure on part of the Wholesale Market Street in both directions, from the Mesaimeer Passport and Immigration Office to near the entrance of Al Jazeera Academy. Ashghal has advised that a part of Mesaimeer Road, between Rawdat Al Khail Street and Al Erbayyat Road, will also be closed.  The closure will be implemented in two phases, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, as follows:

The first phase:Friday 27 May 2016 1:00AM to Sunday 29 May 2016 4:00AM  

The second phase:Thursday 2 June 2016 11:00PM to Sunday 5 June 2016, 4:00AM

Drivers travelling to Bu Hamour, Ain Khalid, the Wholesale Market, and Al Thumama areas, will be able to use Rawdat Al Khail Street or the alternatives routes shown on the below map. The partial closure of Wholesale Market Street and Mesaimeer Road is required to complete utilities ducts and other works on the Rawdat Al Khail Street Extension project. Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
