The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close the northbound on Al Shamal Road, starting 800m to the South of Al Kharaitiy at Interchange (N8) extending to 700m to the north of Al Kheesa Interchange (N10).
Traffic in this area will be diverted to the opposite side of the road to become a two way street.The diversion, which is about 4km long, will start on Thursday 9th of June and will last until end of October 2016. During this period, there will be two to three lanes open for traffic in each direction in this part of the road until works are completed. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
