The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure on the intersection of Rawdat Rashed Road with Salwa Road (Exit 29), in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The closure is to start the implementation of Phase 4 of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project.
On Tuesday, 18 October 2016, part of the exit from Rawdat Rashed Road to Salwa Road will be closed for two months. During this period, a parallel alternative road can be used.
In addition, entrance from Salwa Road to Roundabout (2) will be closed to heavy vehicles and will remain open for light vehicles, starting from Tuesday 18 October 2016 for a period of two months. Heavy vehicles can drive towards Roundabout (1) then take a U-turn to the main road. The road from Roundabout (2) towards Roundabout (3) southbound will also be closed, as shown in the attached map. Drivers coming from Bu Samra will have to drive towards Exit 24, then go back to Salwa Road and enter Rawdat Rashed Road.
Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
