Short-term Detour in Wadi Al Salamya Street west of Al Kharaitiyat Interchange

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ will close Wadi Al Salamya Street, west of Al Kharaitiyat Interchange off North Road, on Wednesday, 30 November, 2016, for a short period of 51 days.

The temporary diversion, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is required to complete the construction of the west of Al Kharaitiyat Interchange, as part of North Road Corridor Enhancement project. Motorists can instead use a two-lane roundabout, east of Wadi Al Salamya Street, with access to local roads onto Al Kharaitiyat neigbourhood. In turn, ‘Ashghal’ will install traffic signage, requesting road users to abide by speed restrictions and follow traffic instructions for their safety.
