The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces extension of the temporary closure on the intersection of Rawdat Rashed Road with Salwa Road (Exit 29) to the end of January 2017. The closure is to complete the implementation of Phase 4 of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project.
The closure includes part of the exit from Rawdat Rashed Road to Salwa Road and traffic can use a parallel alternative road during such closure. In addition, entrance from Salwa Road to Roundabout (2) will still be closed to heavy vehicles and will remain open for light vehicles. Heavy vehicles can drive towards Roundabout (1) then take a U-turn to the main road. The road from Roundabout (2) towards Roundabout (3) southbound will remain closed, as shown in the attached map. Drivers coming from Bu Samra have to drive towards Exit 24, then go back to Salwa Road and enter Rawdat Rashed Road.
Ashghal installed road signs to advise motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
