The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ will close temporarily Umm Leshkhoot Interchange on the North Road to traffic on Thursday, 29 December 2016 till 6 February 2017.
The 45-day road change, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will enable the reconstruction of Umm Leshkhoot Interchange, as part of North Road Corridor Enhancement project. During the traffic detour, Umm Leshkhoot Interchange users are to be diverted to the two major nearby Rasheeda and Al Ghesen Interchanges instead via the newly-constructed service roads between the two intersections, with keeping the main North Road open to normal traffic, as illustrated on the attached map. For road safety, Ashghal has installed the necessary traffic signs, requesting road users to abide by the traffic instructions and restrictions, including speed limit.
