The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, will implement a traffic diversion on AL Shefallahiya Interchange on Al Shamal Road to complete the junction upgrade as part of North Road Corridor Enhancement project.
To facilitate the reconstruction, AL Shefallahiya Interchange, located between the southern Umm Garn Interchange and northern Al Khor Interchange, will be closed for 39 days starting from Wednesday, 26 July 2017 until Saturday, 2 September 2017. During the detour planned in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, motorists can use the neighbouring Umm Garn and Al Khor interchanges in place of AL Shefallahiya Interchange. The area residents around may use the temporary approaches as well, as shown on the map, to access and exit Al Shamal Road. For their safety, Ashghal requests motorists abide by traffic instructions and the newly installed signage.
