Closure of the entrance to Barwa Village and opening of an alternative one

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ is announcing the implementation of a closure of the Barwa Village entrance in Al Wakrah area, and replacing it with an alternative traffic signals entrance, at about 2.6 km. towards Al Wakrah, starting from Sunday, August 16, 2015, until the completion of the East Corridor project, which is implemented by Ashghal.

During this period, the traffic destined to Barwa Village will be diverted to the alternative entrance with traffic signals, which will provide drivers with the possibility to make right, left, and U-turns. This closure is designed to allow for the implementation of the construction works and excavation work in the East Corridor Project, during which the entrance to Barwa Village will be affected, as well as to Al Wakrah Road. The Public Works Authority calls for all road users to drive with caution and to pay attention to the new signage that illustrate the closed entrance and alternative entrance during this closure.
