Diversion of Part of Dukhan Road on Lebsayyer Interchange

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close part of Dukhan Road in both directions, for a distance of around 1.5 km at Lebsayyer Interchange. The lanes leading from Doha to Dukhan will be closed starting from Friday 27 April 2018, while the lanes leading from Dukhan to Doha will be closed starting from Friday 11 May 2018. The closure on both directions will last for a period of six months,in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

During this period, traffic heading to Lebsayyer Interchange on Dukhan Road can use the interchange exits, which include 2 lanes in each direction, to reach the roundabouts (adjacent to the interchange) and then to Lebsayyer area, Rawdat Rashid Road, or back to Dukhan Road, as shown in the below map. The closure aims to enable construction works of a new bridge at Lebsayyer Interchange, as part of Rawdat Rashid Road Development Project implemented by Ashghal. The project aims to provide a developed and safe road to link Salwa Road with Dukhan Road, and keep the traffic movement away from Rawdat Rashid residential area. The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.

Temporary Road Diversion on Northbound Orbital Road North Area – Ras Laffan

Due to the works related to the completion of the New Orbital Highway & Truck Route Project, The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ will temporarily close the northbound lanes on the Orbital Road.  The closure will cover a distance of 10 kilometers, starting from the Orbital Road crossing over Al Shamal Road to RasLaffan Road.

The traffic change is designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, and will continue for 5 days starting Thursday midnight 26 April 2018, and ends on Tuesday 1 May 2018.  During the diversion, motorists travelling via northbound Orbital Road can use Al Mazrooah Road instead of the Orbital Road through Al Khor Interchange on Al Shamal Road, and then continue on the Al Khor Link Road, then turn left at the next roundabout to join the RasLaffan Road, as illustrated on the map.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs guiding motorists to the changes on the road. ‘Ashghal’ requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, which remains at 80 kph for all sections of the Orbital Road and the adjacent roads, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
