Taiwan’s eco-friendly building product launch was a success on day two at Project Qatar 2016

Day two of Project Qatar was another success for the team from Taiwan, which featured a product launch event for five innovative products & services for the Qatar market with the introduction of the Net-Zero Energy Building Concept.

Attending the event were members of the media, international buyers, educators, and students, who all took in a display of Qatar’s newest environmentally friendly building materials and solutions. Taiwan’s group of eco-friendly companies are on display until Thursday,12th May at booth D121 in what is billed the Taiwan Green Product “Demo House.” Such a house introduce a very important concept of Net-Zero Energy Building Solution to the market.

Net Zero Energy is a sought-after goal for many buildings around the world. All such buildings rely on exceptional energy conservation and on-site renewable generation to meet all of the heating, cooling and electricity needs. Yet, many buildings that claim to be Net Zero in fact are not; actual Net Zero Energy buildings are still rare.

How the concept going to benefit Qatar?

With the help of energy modeling, the stakeholders cultivate the best energy saving strategies to achieve this goal. Based on the actual 20-year average weather data of Qatar which include climate data, building design, energy saving products, HVAC design, etc., the computer simulate the building’s energy consumption and anticipated energy bills. We use the energy modeling results to show that the wide array of products displayed in the Taiwan Green Demo House demonstrate green credentials and suitability for a wide variety of applications, and the potential to cooperate with each other to build a Net-Zero Energy Building.

Today, more than five companies participated in a ground-breaking product launch today at Project Qatar 2016 exhibition at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
