Cityscape Qatar 2017 wraps up with record attendees

Cityscape Qatar 2017, the leading real estate and investment exhibition in the State of Qatar, wraps up its 6th edition, under the patronage of His Excellency, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior for the State of Qatar, today, Wednesday 15th March at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) with over 8000 attendees confirmed within the first two days of the exhibition.

Qatar’s profile as a leading investor in global real estate projects has driven a record level of participation of both local and international exhibitors at Cityscape Qatar 2017. Held over the course of 3 days, the show featured over 85 world’s leading real estate companies exhibiting from 25 countries including; Qatar, U.K., Turkey, Pakistan, U.A.E, Italy and Azerbaijan;and witnessed landmark deals and a number of new projects unveiled for the first time.

Qatar’s leading real estate company, Retaj, featured major investment and marketing projects in Qatar at the exhibition including Retaj Energy Building in Lusail City; Mesaimeer Hotel Apartments; Khadizah two-star hotel properties; luxury residential apartments in Lusail City, and Alwaab hotel in Al Sadd. Furthermore, Retaj displayed three new hotels to open soon in Qatar with Retaj Al Rawda, Retaj Msheireb, and its “jewel”, the Retaj Salwa Resort and Vichy Spa.International projects were on display as well including 5 star hotel apartments at the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE; Retaj Al Nahda Tower, a residential and commercial property in Sharjah, UAE; and Tara residential projects in Khartoum offering apartments, villas and lands for sale.

One of the top real estate companies in Qatar, Ibhar, has launched at the exhibition several international investment projects in UK, UAE, Egypt and Turkey with a guaranteed return on investment. Commenting on their participation, Dr. Moyasser Saddiq, Chairman, Ibhar for Exhibitions and Conferences said: “Ibhar Real Estate currently manages 33 properties in Qatar, as well as many international investment properties in UK, Greece, Spain, UAE and Egypt. We believe that any investment decision needs to be made after thorough research to guarantee the safety of the investor and his return on investment; and this is where we excel at providing.”

Etqan Real Estate Co, a private real estate investment company showcased some of the biggest undeveloped plots in Saudi Arabia including Ghadeer plot and Burj plot located on King Fahad road in addition to their largest shopping mall developments with Riyadh Gallery, Azizia Mall and Tawaren Centre for offices and showrooms. Commenting on their participation, Etqan said: “We are pleased to see that visitors have increased by 10% for the first two days of the exhibition from the previous edition; which demonstrates the huge success that Cityscape has achieved in its platform not only in Qatar but across the globe.”

This year’s event was an increasingly international affair with properties on showcase from Cyprus, Italy, Turkey, US, Qatar, the UAE and the UK.

As the State of Qatar continues to invest in large scale infrastructure and construction projects in the lead up to the Qatar National Vision 2030, this year’s successful edition showcases the robust status of the real estate sector in Qatar as recovery in oil prices is expected to stimulate economic growth and lead to a recovery in residential real estate demand compared to year 2016.Continued growth in real estate is also expected over the coming years leading up to the world cup in 2022.
