The First Investor (“TFI”) Qatar, a subsidiary of Barwa Bank Group and the leading Qatari closed shareholding investment banking firm, lands on another acquisition of a prestigious new office building in one of the most vibrant business areas in Frankfurt.
The asset is another unique blend to TFI Euro Income Fund (“The Fund”), which was launched in 2017 with sharia compliant stature. The diversity of the Euro Fund’s assets (Germany and France) will provide investors with sustainable high-yield and potential capital growth at maturity of the Fund. The new property is a stand-alone office building situated in Neu-isenburg in Frankfurt’s Main District, a freehold asset occupied by high-grade tenants on long lease basis.
‘Building on its strategic joint venture with INOVALIS REIT, a listed real estate fund, the First Investor is pleased to bring to bear an alliance based on focus and determination to maintain our prime position in Qatar as the leading Islamic investment company’, said Houssam Kharbotli TFI CEO. Europe continues to provide excellent investment and business environments given low inflation and low interest rate regime. Hence, The Fund benefits from off market transactions leased to quality tenants and provide stable income streams.
During 2017, the First Investor brought to its long-term clients many investment opportunities, which have all been subscribed to given the nature of each opportunity. To name a few; TFI Euro Income Fund consists of three major office buildings, two tranches of REIT Islamic Notes, all of which aim to meet investment guidelines and dividend distribution target. While the TFI Euro Income Fund is a closed end fund that suits particular investors’ objectives, the REIT notes are redeemed monthly, which provide liquidity to investors when required.
During the year, The First Investor managed to exit investors from a couple of investments in the UK and in Qatar with considerable ROI, in addition to yield payouts. TFI is keen to pursue its investment strategy with the aim to help clients achieve their objectives in a very challenging business environment. By that, TFI will soon launch another UK Income Fund (2) and a US Income Fund together with many investment opportunities during 2018.
